Mrs Basson was appointed as the principal in April 2023. With a strong background in educational leadership and a passion for student development, Mrs Basson brings a wealth of experience and fresh energy to our school community. She has served in various roles as an educator and administrator over the past 30 years.
I am currently the Deputy Principal and Accounting teacher at Verney. I have been at Verney since January 2015. With a background in Financial Management and Industrial Psychology (BCom), along with a postgraduate qualification in Higher Education, I am passionate about fostering academic excellence.

Mr. Andrew Tawanda Munongi has been teaching at our school since 2012. He teaches Mathematics to Grades 8–12 and Mathematical Literacy to Grades 10–12. With over 30 years of experience and strong expertise in multiple syllabi, Andrew combines deep knowledge with a passion for coaching and sports officiating.

I am Dumisani Basopo a holder of a Bachelor's Degree in English, and I also hold a Diploma in Education. My passion for education started at a young age, and I believe in changing the world through ideas in education.
Nathaniel Maphosa is a dedicated Mathematics and Physical Sciences educator at FET level. With a strong background in education and a passion for problem-solving and innovation, he empowers learners to think critically, explore their world, and apply modern technology to real-life challenges.
Since 2004, Miss Jenny has been a dedicated educator at Verney College, teaching History (Grades 10–12), English and Creative Arts (Grades 8–9), and supporting learners with extra classes and assessments. Passionate about literacy and student growth, she also led public speaking teams and organize library fundraising initiatives.
Raché van Zyl has been teaching at our school since May 2017. With qualifications in Afrikaans and education, she currently teaches Afrikaans to Grades 6–9 and 11, and supports Grade 12. She also teaches Natural Sciences and is involved in athletics and netball.
Sipiwe Dlamini joined Verney College in August 2024 as a passionate Geography and Social Sciences teacher. With over 10 years of experience, she inspires learners to connect with the world around them while fostering critical thinking, civic awareness, and environmental responsibility.
Nokuthula Ngwenya, an experienced and dynamic teacher at Verney College since 2022, brings her passion for entrepreneurship and finance into her Economics and Business Studies classes. With 23 years’ teaching expertise, she inspires learners through academics, competitions, and sports.
My name is Jacqueline Mendes, and I am the Head of Department for the Primary School at Verney College, where I have been proudly teaching since 2006. With over 25 years of experience in education, I currently teach Grade 1 and 2 learners, specializing in the foundation phase.
